Had a cleanup during Covid Lockdown and re-discovered something kitchen/ cooking related? The Little Cellar Rat re-acquainted with a lovely slab of marble, usually used for making scones and pastry. Well, it now has pride of place on the Flindersia Table, where all the chopping takes place. It’s a delight to use for cutting vegetables and fruit of all sort. Pine boards still the go though for meats, fish and chicken.

PIZZA (homemade if you can) is quick and delicious. the Little Cellar Rat uses a GF base TOSCANO BRAND when time is in short supply.  Less is more with the toppings…. start with a good home made general purpose pasta/pizza sauce.

THE LITTLE CELLAR RAT has restocked the dry red + dry white end of run bottles, just the ticket for muscling up those hearty casseroles. Deglaze the pan after brewing onions, garlic and meat…. the smell while its cooking adds to the enjoyment of the meal.

Freshly picked rosemary … what an atmosphere that creates.You’ll be receiving some when you visit the Cellar Door.
