Port is a very elegant finale to a meal. Give it the company of a stylish glass, some gutsy salty cheese and a muscatel grape or two.
Another idea…. Throw some fat raisins in a screw top jar, give them a soak of a few slugs of port and keep in the fridge. They are just the ticket to have on hand to gussy up some simple vanilla ice-cream. The Little Cellar Rat likes to put put hem in the bottom of the dish before pouring on a Baked Custard.
